The Brief
Holborn Viaduct is a major student accommodation scheme in the heart of the City of London, delivering 669 bedrooms across 12 storeys and a two-storey basement. With a tight site and a demanding programme, Blue Diamond was approached to provide a GRP riser solution that could handle some very large and complex risers, while still being delivered to a tight schedule.
The Solution
Given the scale and detail of the risers involved, our technical team produced drawings for the support layout, to ensure every element was accurately coordinated with the M&E design. This groundwork was essential in a project of this size, where getting the support layout right first time meant no hold-ups further down the line.
With a demanding delivery window in place, our in-house cutting capabilities and stock availability allowed us to keep pace with the wider programme, supplying GRP grating as and when it was needed on site.
